Refunds and Cancellation
For all refunds and cancellation, we must receive your request to cancel in writing via our admin form
Phone calls and leaving voice messages, texts or slack messages does not confirm a cancellation. This must be received in writing only as explained above.
If we are unable to provide a direct refund, we will do our best to switch you to another event that equates to the amount that you have spent. We do not want students to miss out on valuable information. Please try to notify us in advance if you are unable to attend. In the unlikely event of unpredictable weather conditions, or low numbers of attendees, and the event has been cancelled, all tickets will be refunded in full. However, we cannot refund any travel expenses incurred due to unpredictable factors beyond our control, resulting in the cancellation of an event.
We are always more than happy to issue refunds, provided your request falls within the clear guidelines of the cancellation and refund policy outlined here.
Conference Places
Get into Medicine/Dentistry/Veterinary Medicine course tickets can be refunded in full if we receive the cancellation request in writing via our admin form within 3 days of registering a place via the website. Any cancellations which occur after 3 days of booking a place, will not be refunded. You must notify us of your cancellation by using our admin form
Summer School Places
Summer School deposits are non-refundable beyond the 14 day cooling off period when registering. Following this, students must notify us of their wish to cancel at least 6 months prior to their start date. Cancellations that fall within the 6 month period of their start date cannot be refunded. Expenses will have already been used to pay for food and accommodation as well as provisions including books and teaching. It will also be too late for us to offer the place to another student.
If you are unable to attend the Summer School as a result of local restrictions or any travel issues that personally prevent you from attending, you are liable for the full cost of the place that you have registered for. Medic Mentor cannot offer a refund in such circumstances because we have been holding a place for you that could have been offered to another student. This includes, for example, if the UK Government decide to prevent international students from arriving in the UK. This is beyond Medic Mentor’s control and therefore, we cannot take responsibility.
Awards Programme Registrations
Students registering for the awards programme have a 14 day cooling off period during which time you may change your mind about pursuing a medical/dental/veterinary career or participating in the awards programme itself as outlined on the website. However, once you have access to your e-learning you wil no longer be eligible for a refund.
Following this, if you decide to withdraw form the programme, a refund will not be provided. This is because you will have already accessed the service, e-learning and incurred administration costs in the set up of your place on the awards register and slack channels.
UCAT Mentoring Places
Purchases for the Silver, Gold or Platinum UCAT Mentoring is subject to the 14 day cooling off period with the exception of students taking part in the mentoring programme or reciving access to the UCAT question bank in July 2023 and will nolonger be elegable for a full refund. If purchasing the Platinum Pacakage there is the option to change to the Gold or Silver package withing the 14 day cooling off period window and recive a partial refund, requests must be made throught he admin form.
Magazine Subscriptions
These can be cancelled at any time. Please cancel your direct debit and also contact us via our admin form, requesting that you subscription be terminated. Thank you.
